The Ventus Mori is one of my all-time favorite watch designs, and the green/brass color way is my favorite of the three Moris I own (so far). The sandwich dial with the dart inlays and twin rings of indices is Mid-Century perfection. The hand ensemble is distinctive and visually engaging. Not only is the 40 mm case diameter sensible, but the proportions of the case, bezel and dial result in a flawless overall composition.
The online catalog photo doesn't capture how rich the greens of the Serious Watches exclusive dial and bezel are in person. The dial is the deep green of tropical foliage, while the bezel is a very satiny emerald, which I attempted to capture in my photos. The greens, brass, gold hands and white indices interact with each other beautifully. I'm glad Ventus went with brass instead of bronze on this model; I'm sure it was a cost factor, but the brass patina takes on a different look, and seems to suit this model better than bronze.
I did not think that the two supplied straps--black tropic rubber and brown Horween leather--did the watch justice, so I searched online for a better option. I selected a green smooth leather strap with orange stitching from cheapestnatostraps.com, which looks amazing on this watch.
Before I forget, the price for this perfect timepiece is unbelievable. It's no exaggeration to say that it would be a bargain at twice the price. In fact, that's being conservative. Thank you Ventus and Serious Watches for delivering a winner that checks off all the boxes.

It took them less than 30 minutes to process my order and get the courier to pick it up. I ordered on Friday and received my watch on Monday from Netherlands to Singapore. That's amazing! The watch is beautiful and perfect for my wrist. Can't wait for the patina to develop on the brass.

The Ventus Mori SW-2 is a phenomenal watch with a brass case. Brass is somewhat similar to bronze in terms of patina (both are based on copper). This is an ongoing process which makes every watch unique. Discolouration is normal with this material. One major benefit is that you can largely bring back your watch in the original condition by using a Cape Cod cloth.
Under the hood you'll find a reliable automatic, Japanese Seiko SII NH35 movement. The beautiful sandwich dial with blue BGW9 lume is protected by a piece of domed sapphire glass with an AR coating on the inside. The 300 meter water resistance ensures the ability to swim and dive with your watch without worries. The diving bezel helps if you do decide to take a plunge to the depths of the ocean.
