Ordered this for our 2nd anniversary (ordered it on Wednesday July 13th, arrived on Monday July 18th, our anniversary date) free shipping as usual and so was the nice Serious Watches branded gift wrap and bow ribbon. That alone was a surprise to my wife, along with a personal thank you note and some ad inserts. The SW staff was friendly and provided great customer support.
Regarding the Movado, I've never purchased a Movado, so I didn't know what to expect. The outer box was a little cheap and the Movado watch box inside the outer box was similar to the quality you'd find in fashion watch brands like Michael Kors or Hugo Boss....I was expecting a higher quality box like that from other SWISS brands like Tissot or Raymond Weil, so I was disappointed in Movado.
Regarding the watch, the mother of pearl dial is shinier, reflective and multi-color than the picture on seriouswatches.com suggests, giving different colors in different lightings (more greenish-purplish like the soap bubbles kids blow) and I'm more of a fan of gray/silver dials. The watch is smaller than you'd expect from the picture, but then again, it is a watch for women. The watch is relatively light weight and the links on the front (not the links that wrap on the underside of your wrist) are hard while the underside links are flexible (hard to explain, but it's like half bracelet and have watch band)
I thought the watch came with a dead battery but then I set the time and it's working.
All in all, a beautiful watch at a great price point and the wife was surprised and loved it. The Movado name holds weight with women.
