I bought a few years back a Spinnaker that was so cheap. I sold it. After have read some articles about the new models, and as i wanted a little steel tool watch i bought one (i was ready to pay the return).
I opened the box and... What a nice little watch (i'm used to 43 to 50mm watches eventhough i have a small wrist) !
It is well finished with polished and brushed parts, classic side shapes, a perfect crystal, nice proportions... The crown is ok with the overall design (i do prefer bigger crowns), Anyway, the watch is confortable, thick with a good presence on the wrist. Colors are well chosen, the "fumé" dial looks awesome, and the slightly textured insert is very cool. The bezel is ok. Typography layout is bad but fortunately your brain will bypass the logo and text thanks to the color scheme, the fat/bold dial elements and hands. The whole dial has its own dna. The lume is surprinsgly nice.
The stock strap is cool with nice colors/patina. I immediatly put a 4mm thick handmade strap made of a very flexible leather so it wasn't a torture to attach it. Since lugs are a bit short, there is not a lot of space between the springbar and the case. I put a flat preV buckle that matches very well the oldschoolish style of the Croft. I have another strap, darker and a bit more "vintage" (distressed). I really like the Croft with both of them.
The Croft is a surprisingly cool watch that immediatly found its place in my little collection. ^.^)
