A very comfortable watch

I have always liked the look of this watch, even with the original logo, but it always seemed too expensive. When SW announced the option to trade in used watches, it was a win-win for me, free some space in the watch box without getting scammed on Facebook and get the Formex.

Positives:
- The colour of the dial almost matches the blued screws in the movement, appearing almost black most of the time and blue when the vertical brushing catches the light.
- The dial and hands finishing is flawless as far as I can tell without a loop.
- The finishing of the movement is a beautiful combination of brushing, perlage, spiral grooves and blued screws.
- The watch is very comfortable and balanced on the wrist despite its size.
- The bracelet clasp is sturdy, functional and elegant. At first, I didn't understand why half of the butterfly is opened separately, being held by sprung ceramic bearings, but the reason occurred when I needed the bracelet extension. It prevents the watch from slipping from the arm when extending the bracelet.
- The whole case and bracelet is finished well for the price.
- The box it comes in is compact.

Not so positive:
- The lume is quite weak and can only be seen at night once the eyes get used to the darkness. On the other hand, it lasts quite long.
- I am still not sure about the case suspension. It seems like a gimmick that inflates the price, but at least it gives a reason for the screws on the front.

Negative:
- The bezel is wide and has a beautifully finished edge, but that edge is the first thing that gets damaged when accidentally bumping into something.
- It seems like it's normal on the Sellita SW200, but it is annoying that pulling the crown from the date-setting position to the time-setting one requires a lot of force.
- The bracelet is sized with screws, which always causes trouble.
- That brings me to the worst for last and the reason for 4/5 stars. The watch arrived with a screwdriver that was even the correct size, but when I wanted to size the bracelet the glue between the handle and the blade gave up before the bracelet screw. This ruined the whole experience and I had to wait a few months before writing this review for it not to be too negative.

As for the trading experience, It went quite smoothly and the only issue was my lack of experience when sending packages.

The Formex Essence FortyThree Chronometer Blue Steel is a phenomenal, stylish, well-made and extremely comfortable high-end Swiss Made watch. To start, the case has a unique suspension system which helps absorbs any impacts but also to provide comfort when moving. To complement the comfortable case the watch features a refined metal bracelet with a Micro-extension function. This also shows the level of dedication towards detail that is present throughout the entire watch.

It doesn't end there, as the watch features a Swiss Made Sellita SW200-1 mechanical (automatic) movement that is COSC certified, ensuring that it runs +6/-4 seconds per day and meets all the strict testing criteria of the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres.

Of course the watch features all the things you'd expect from a high-end watch, such as BGW9 Super-LumiNova lume, sapphire glass with an AR coating and 100 meter water resistance.

A lovely watch for nearly any occasion that combines style and comfort and does so at a very reasonable price.
