The Islander Watch Republic Traveler GMT Blue Dial #ISL-238 is an amazing peice for any serious traveler! 

To begin with one of the most important things: the watch features an incredible movement. The Miyota 9075 features a second hand that indicator a second timezone., but this is a so-called 'true GMT', which means you quickly adjust the hour hand, rather than the GMT hand. Of course the watch is fitted with a bidirectional 24 hour bezel and has markings on the rehaut. That way you can easily see what time it is another timezone, when you are travelling. The bezel insert is made from scratch resistant sapphire glass, that will remain looking sharp unless faced with a serious adventure. 

Speaking further of the watch, the basics are, as with any Islander watch, top notch. An elegant 40mm case, with a modest 46.5mm lug to lug distance make it very agreeable for most wrists. Of course the glass is sapphire and the watch is water resistant up to 200 meters, if you do decide to test the oceans. The clasp is fitted with a quick-adjust feature, that allows you to adjust the length on the fly.

  2 year warranty

  We offer a 2 year warranty on all watches. This covers all mechanical malfunction arising from parts failure and/or assembly errors. Excluded are parts that by their nature may not last 2 years, like batteries and leather straps, damage/problems caused by improper use and wear and tear. We stand behind the brands that we sell and the quality that they offer.
  Some of our brands also offer an international warranty, which will also apply.

  Service and parts

  In the unfortunate event of a problem with your watch, you simply need to send it to us (or take it to another dealer if the brand offers an international warranty). We have access to the official service centers, where only original parts are used and the watchmakers are qualified and experienced with your type of watch. Not every watch movement is the same, so it's best if it's handled by people who know what they are doing.
  After your 2 years warranty has expired we are able to offer service in most cases.
