The Hanhart 417 ES Steve McQueen Limited Edition No. 1 is an amazing watch with some of the most impressive pedigree. Some watches tell time, others tell a a story. And that is exactly what Hanhart has for decades, which has landed them appreciation from some of the world's most famous and coolest people, including legendary Steve McQueen. His love for Hanhart is fairly well known, but Hanhart has collaborated with his grandchildren to create this unique watch befitting the approval of the legacy of the King of Cool.
Originally the 417 ES watch created in the 50s as a pilot chonograph for the German Bundeswehr and this special watch uses the original 39mm case diameter, staying true to the watch worn and enjoyed by Steve McQueen. Of course produced to high, modern standards. For example the lume may look like creamy radium lume, but fortunately it uses entirely safe Super-Luminova with the same tint. The only downside is that special things such as these come in moderation and thus it is limited to just 300 pieces worldwide.
The watch has all the basics right, such as 100m water resistance, high-dome convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a comfortable leather bund strap and a solid Sellita AMT5100 M mechanical (handwinder) column wheel flyback chronograph movement. Originally designed for pilots of the German Air Force, equipped with “Temposchaltung”, as the flyback function is also called. The mechanism allows immediate measurement of a new timing interval by using the reset pusher. With a comfortable 39mm diameter, and a mere 13.3mm thickness, this watch will be comfortable and a joy to wear, while standing out with its beautiful dial with historic Hanhart logo and fluted bezel.

We're an authorised dealer of all of our brands, unless otherwise noted. In this day and age there are also many 'grey market dealers' that compromise. What are the main benefits of buying from an authorised dealer with regard to the warranty?
2 year warranty
We offer a 2 year warranty on all watches. This covers all mechanical malfunction arising from parts failure and/or assembly errors. Excluded are parts that by their nature may not last 2 years, like batteries and leather straps, damage/problems caused by improper use and wear and tear. We stand behind the brands that we sell and the quality that they offer.
Some of our brands also offer an international warranty, which will also apply.
Service and parts
In the unfortunate event of a problem with your watch, you simply need to send it to us (or take it to another dealer if the brand offers an international warranty). We have access to the official service centers, where only original parts are used and the watchmakers are qualified and experienced with your type of watch. Not every watch movement is the same, so it's best if it's handled by people who know what they are doing.
After your 2 years warranty has expired we are able to offer service in most cases.
