This is the second watch that I’ve bought recently from Seriouswatches. As before the service was excellent and the delivery prompt to the UK. It comes carefully packaged and nicely wrapped. As before, they let me see a photo of the actual watch before I bought it as I wanted to see the pattern of the dial.
I love the idea of a meteorite being on my wrist knowing that, over 100 million years ago. it was flying through space. The patterned dial looks excellent and is crystal clear. The orange hands are solely connected to the chronograph so there’s no confusion with the time. The day/date function is a helpful feature that doesn’t always come on chronographs. There is plenty of lume for nighttime and twilight.
The strap was a little fiddly to adjust as it works by push pins and not screws to adjust. But once adjusted, the bracelet is comfortable and very well made and has a nice combination of polished and brushed links. The angled polished edge is particularly smart looking and helps set off the tapering links. The clasp is sturdy and the double button release feels nice and secure.
Overall it is an eye catching watch. The meteorite dial makes it very special. The batons and hands are set off nicely against its backdrop. The non-reflective sapphire glass helps maintain excellent legibility from all angles without reflections.
It’s not a light watch but once on the wrist you tend to forget it’s there. And while it isn’t the slimmest case on the wrists, again the design makes the bulk less noticeable (ie. its height) and it fits nicely underneath any sleeve. So it doesn’t feel chunky on the wrist.
This is my first experience of this re-launched brand and I am very pleased with the quality and price point, especially as I got this, the last one, in the sale. Well worth waiting for!
It seems that Santa Claus came early this year. Bradner is a well-built beautiful watch with nice movement. Ordered on Friday afternoon and received on Monday afternnoon.
And what a gift packaging! Thank you sw
I brought the watch for my mom and she absolutely loves it, sadly due the current Corona situation it doesn't get as much wrist time as it should but it will for sure as soon as things are back to normal. The quality the aesthetics everything is just amazing. The service was great as usual, it's my third watch on seriouswatches and there will be more for sure. Thanks for everything:)
So it’s been almost 5 days since I got my OceanX Sharkmaster SMS1044, and I now feel confident to leave a review. First of all, completely unrelated to the actual watch itself, SeriousWatches upgraded the whole unboxing experience to a new level that you probably wouldn’t get if you bought this watch directly from OX website. Gift wrapped, black silk paper, seals and a little waffle cookie in the package. It all added to the excitement while unboxing the watch. I really appreciate this level of going the extra mile for your customers. 5 stars on that, and I will return as customer thanks to this. On to the watch. This really is a stunning piece! It’s the perfect combination of fine jewelry and a robust tool-watch. The build quality and finish is absolute amazing for the price tag. I’ve both had and seen watches 4-5 times this price with lesser build quality than this one. The way the light dances on the baguette stones on the bezel, the refinement of the whole watch, 1000 meter water resistant, 120 click bezel, screw pins for the bracelet and the machined clasp, all things expected to be seen on watches that costs thousands of dollars. The Japanese Seiko NH35A movement might not be all that exotic and exciting, but then again it is proven working, reliable and cheap to service. I have had other watches with the same movement that has taken a real beating, and still been running perfectly, so for me the reliability is valued higher than the exclusivity of the movement. Knowing I can get this movement serviced for 150 dollars rather than 800 dollars for a Rolex movement just brings more value to the watch in my opinion. That is money which I can use for another purchase at SeriousWatches! My specific watch runs minus 4 seconds per day right now, which is superb and well within what super high end watches also run at. I absolutely love this watch and will supply a wrist shot with this review. However, this watch does not make itself justice on pictures, it is MUCH prettier seen by your own eyes. Anyhow, 5 stars to the watch, 5 stars to the retailer! Thank you!
