I have always wanted a bronze watch for my collection and searched high and low. Yes of course I wanted the Tudor Black Bay Bronze but essentially I wanted a bronze watch that didn't look gimmicky, BUT did have unique character, not your standard classic diver. I looked at this watch for a while but thought it's proportions were extreme but it kinda grew on me so I bought it before they're all gone. I wish I had bought one sooner now when they came out so I could have had it in one of their exceptional wooden boxes, as it is the watch still makes up for that disappointment.
Wow, how wrong was I ! The case is kinda like a larger Seiko turtle but surprisingly the proportions are perfect and don't feel or look extreme at all, it's just gorgeous! Surprisingly it's subtle and refined with just the right amount of detail. The dial is clear and uncluttered and the green/teal is stunning. The Panarai font and style are classic and the handset compliment this. The ceramic bezel insert is also sublime as is it's action and to top it off the lume is stunning; the depth of the watch makes this even better! The crown is lovely and the grip is fine with again a lovely action.
The buckle! It's a huge bronze fishtail! But I like it. It's solid and doesn't dig in to the wrist, it's just huge, what the heck.
The whole build quality is exceptional!! Some moan about the bog standard Seiko NH35 movement used in this piece but I have NEVER had any problems with this movement (and so far 100% problems with other movements). Which brings me to the crowning point of my purchase - It's keeping almost perfect time with only losing 2 seconds per day.
I would also like to say that buying from Serious Watches has been an utter delight, they care about their image and they care about their customers; and the shipping!! Time travel obviously is possible, I blinked and it was here so thank you guys, I'll most deffinatly be back for more.
