This is my first NTH watch and I am pleased to say that I like what I see very much. Most important lesson: If you're interested in one of the various NTH models here, do yourself a favour and have a look at the product videos presented by SeriousWatches. Forget about the product images, as they all seem to be renderings provided by NTH, are mostly quite horrible and don't do the depicted watch any favour at all. In case of the Dolphin I'd go so far as to call those product renderings borderline misleading, as they hardly look like the real watch.
The highlight of the Dolphin series certainly is the dial, which is a silvery sunburst dial with a subtle color gradient (to a darker shade of grey) towards the outer edges. In addition to that there is an almost pearlescent effect going on (hard to capture on a photo), which adds reddish color nuances when exposed to sunlight. This certainly is unlike any other watch I have in my watchcase. Lume is strong (blue color) - I understand that this is some kind of hallmark of NTH watches. Be prepared for lots of "daylume".
The watch has a very sensible 40 mm width, which is the perfect size for my slender-ish wrists (18.5 cm). The height of the watch is 11.5 mm, which makes it slide under shirt cuffs easily. The watch is very wearable. The watch is mostly brushed, with a polished bevel along both upper sides. The bezel has the same brushed texture, which imho is a very nice change from the typical high gloss bezels.The alignment of the bezel markers with die dial's indices is not 100 percent, but still tolerable.
The bracelet is completely brushed and has solid end links. Removable links don't use pins, but screws: Be sure to have a matching screwdriver (about 1 mm) in your toolbox in order to shorten the bracelet. Two additional removable links are supplied in case you need to lengthen the bracelet. The clasp is rather long, but not very thick. Overall I think it is a very decent bracelet that does its job very well.
Time will tell (pun intended) if the Miyota movement will be able to run the distance, first measurements seem to indicate above average accuracy of the specimen I received (-1.5 seconds per day). The sound of the rotor is noticeable, but nothing out of the ordinary. Handling of the crown feels precise, the crown has a good size and grip for hand-winding if necessary.
Conclusion: Found my perfect summer watch. Cool looks, well made and a color scheme that combines perfectly to any kind of clothing color. Would definitely buy again.

The NTH Dolphin Ice No Date is a high quality diving watch. The technical aspects are very impressive: double domed sapphire glass with an AR coating, 300m (30ATM) water resistance, a 120 click uni-directional bezel and of course a great Made in Japan automatic movement, the Miyota. cal. 9015 (28800bph). The watch is very comfortable due to the 40mm diameter and 48mm lug to lug distance but also due to small details such as a refined clasp and an easy-to-use big crown. This watch is a great choice for nearly any wrist and for nearly any occasion!
